Terms of engagement

These terms govern sittings commissioned from Lucid Ripple Analytics Co., Ltd., established in 2015, with rooms at 78/9 Nawamin Road, Nua Khlong Kum, Bueng Kum, Bangkok 10230. By sending an inquiry, paying a deposit, or attending a sitting, you agree to these terms. A written confirmation that names the sitting, the date, and the fee is the contract for that piece of work. The pages of this website describe the practice; they do not, by themselves, open a sitting.

The work

We prepare executive data storytelling for a named room: a visual sequence, a spoken line, a one-page order, or a combination of those, as the relevant sitting describes. You supply the figures. We do not audit them, certify them, or replace your finance function. A sitting is prepared for the audience and date named in the confirmation. Using the sheets in another room or another season is your choice, and it is outside the rehearsal we provided.

Acceptance

You accept a quote when you pay the deposit, or, for a Witness Hour, when you pay the fee that reserves the chair. If you need a purchase order, send it before you pay. We may decline a sitting after reading a pack, in which case any amount already paid for work not started is returned as the refund page describes.

Your figures

You confirm that you have the right to share the pack with us for the purpose of preparing the sitting. You remain responsible for the accuracy of the numbers. If you tell us a figure is settled and it later changes, the revision may be a new fee if the sheets have already been drawn.

Intellectual property

The pack, and every figure in it, remains yours. The visual sequence and the spoken line are prepared for your sitting. Once the fee is paid in full, you may use the sheets and the line in that sitting and in your own internal record of it. You may not sell them as a template, and you may not present them as the work of another practice. We keep the right to describe the method of the practice — the rail, the order, the appendix — without disclosing your figures. We do not put your sheets in a public portfolio.

Fees

Fees are in Thai baht and are stated on the confirmation. Amounts shown on the fee page are starting points until that confirmation exists. Late payment of a balance may delay the release of printed sheets. We do not take payment for a software subscription, because we do not offer one.

Liability

We prepare the sequence and the line with care, from the pack you provide. We are not liable for a decision the room makes, for a figure that was wrong in the pack, or for a loss that follows from how the sitting is received. Our total liability for a sitting is limited to the fee paid for that sitting, except where Thai law does not allow a limit. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Thailand. The courts of Bangkok have jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory right you have as a consumer under Thai law if that status applies to you. Most of our clients commission the practice in the course of business.
